Membrane packaging for shock sensitive goods
The best packaging solution for shock sensitive goods
In particular, products that are sensitive to breakage and impact, such as medical devices, can be damaged by drops, jolts and/or vibrations during transport, in some cases involving multiple handling. In order to avoid such damage, the product must be secured within its packaging in such a way that no contact can occur with the outer wall and thus improper handling of the packaging remains without damage to the product.
Membrane packaging generally consists of a high-quality outer carton and two product fixings covered with highly elastic film. This “free-floating” packaging creates a cavity in the shipping carton that provides optimum protection of the goods against impact and/or breakage.
- High protection against shock, vibration and improper handling
- No additional use of filling and/or padding material necessary
- Multiple use possible
- Contour-conforming and “free-floating” product fixation
Protective and transport packaging
Both PE and PUR foams, in combination with multiwall outer cartons, provide excellent protection for your sensitive and high value products during transportation and storage.
Due to their good cushioning properties and good processability, PE foam cushions are ideally suited to meet high packaging requirements. For example, PE foams can be ideally adapted to product shapes by means of cutouts and contour cuts. This results in product mounts or product fixings that absorb shocks and vibrations during transport and multiple handling in the best possible way and accompany your products safely to their destination.
Toothed strips made of polyethylene foam, glued into corresponding trays made of corrugated cardboard, are excellent separators for holding and fixing special products to be protected.
- Good recoverability
- Computable absorption behavior
- Excellent cushioning properties
- Low weight
